Chulgiri Jain Temple

Origin
Building these temples was the most challenging task as it was made on the Aravalli Hills. Jain Acharya Shri Desh Bhushan Ji Maharaj came to a place and found it suitable for meditation. After that, he build Jain Mandir over that place and selected it for his immortalization, and renamed it Chulgiri Jain Temple. As the place is very silent and filled with greenery and it creates a perfect environment. Chulgiri Jain Temple was established in the year 1953. It’s almost 20 km from Jaipur city. Chilguri Temple on the range of Aravalli Hills is one of the best scenic places.
Architecture
The design of Chulgiri Temple is very unique as it is located on the top of the hill. The main temple is situated on the top of the hill. In the beginning, in the year 1966 three sculptures made of white stone originated from Tirthankars, Mahaveer Swami, and Neminath. Later on, 24 Tirthankar statues were installed, and also made a small water tank to store water.
Chulgiri Hills is one of the impressive places to experience views of nature, along with adventurous spots. It has a large library filled with religious books and on the rooftop of the temple is covered by a large Jain Yantra of four feet which is composed of 40kg of copper plate and six thousand 5 hundred sixty-one columns, vowels, consonants, mantras, and swastik symbols followed by other holy symbols.
The main temple consists of a tall idol of Mahaveer Swami which is made up of white stone.
Importance
In the Chulgiri Temple, every year in the month of May a famous festival name Panch Kalyank is celebrated with lots of joy and spirituality. A large number of Jainese take part in this festival. In the year 1982 a 21 feet high statue of Mahaveer Swami was made and to cover it a long high dome was built. Chulgiri Temple is one of the most known religious famous spots for Jains.

- Drive/ Ride Cycle- If you don’t want to climb the stairs then you have two options.
- You can drive your own vehicle through a well-connected road.
- You can also ride a bicycle to reach the top.
