The trail

The walk starts from the Jati Balaji / Shiv Mandir side near Amer. A rough path winds through rocky Aravalli scrub and small valleys for about 40–60 minutes to the temple. There are a few turns that are easy to miss, and phone signal is weak in places, so first-timers should go with someone who knows the way.

Bhuteshwar Nath Mahadev is a simple, old Shiv temple in a peaceful setting. Devotees visit especially on Mondays and in the month of Sawan. Keep the area clean and remove footwear near the shrine.

Right after the monsoon (August–October) the trail is at its greenest. Winter mornings are cool and clear. Avoid summer afternoons – the rocky valley gets hot.
