Overview

A weekend in Rajasthan's open-air art gallery. The towns of Shekhawati are filled with havelis covered in frescoes, built by wealthy merchant families. Wander painted courtyards in Nawalgarh, Fatehpur and Mandawa, stay a night in a heritage haveli or castle hotel, and return to Jaipur the next evening. Easy to combine with Khatu Shyam Ji or Salasar Balaji.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur → Nawalgarh → Mandawa (about 170–180 km)
8:00 am – Pickup in Jaipur. Drive via Sikar to Nawalgarh and explore its painted havelis with a local guide (at extra cost). Continue to Mandawa, check in to a heritage hotel and walk through the old town's haveli lanes in the late afternoon. Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 2: Mandawa → Fatehpur → Jaipur
Morning walk to more of Mandawa's havelis, then drive to Fatehpur for its frescoed mansions. Return to Jaipur by evening – or stop at Salasar Balaji or Khatu Shyam Ji for darshan on the way.

Are there fixed departure dates?

No. Every package runs on your dates. Share your travel date, number of people and any preferences, and we plan around you.

Can I add Khatu Shyam Ji or Salasar Balaji?

Yes. Both temples are close to the Shekhawati route and can be added on the way there or back.

Is a guide useful in Shekhawati?

Yes. A local guide explains the stories in the frescoes and can get you into havelis that are otherwise locked.
