History

It was constructed,  in the year 1599-1608 AD by Rani Kankawati who was the wife of Raja Man Singh I, purpose is that it was built in memory of their son Jagat Singh. It took almost nine years to create this temple. It is the only Meera Bai temple in Jaipur. It is believed that the statue of Lord Krishna installed in the Temple is the same which Meera Bai worshipped when she was in Mewar City. As the statue of Lord Krishna was saved during the war.

Architecture

The main attraction of Jagat Shiromani Temple is the Torans(pylon), made from a single piece of marble. This temple is a combination of distinct architectural styles of Jain, Hindu, Mughal, and South Indian too. These distinctive styles have been mixed up together in a way to create a classic temple. It is a resemblance to the Art Hall Museum of Jaipur

Different types of stone like local stone, marble, and granite are used in the construction of Jagat Shiromani Temple to make it look impressive. With temple has two entrances, one from Amer Town, its main entrance, and the other one from the flight of steps from Amer Fort.
