A short wildlife escape from Jaipur to one of India's best places to see a tiger in the wild. Two jungle safaris in Ranthambore National Park, a visit to the 10th-century Ranthambore Fort and Trinetra Ganesh temple, and a night at a jungle resort. Safari permits are limited, so book early – especially in winter.

Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Jaipur → Ranthambore – evening safari
7:00 am – Pickup in Jaipur and drive to Sawai Madhopur (about 160 km, 3–3.5 hrs). Check in at your resort and have lunch.
- Afternoon safari in Ranthambore National Park (jeep or canter, as per permit availability) – look for tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar and crocodiles around the lakes.
Evening by the bonfire. Overnight at the resort.
Day 2: Morning safari – Ranthambore Fort – return to Jaipur
- Early-morning safari – the best time for wildlife sightings.
- Breakfast and check out.
- Ranthambore Fort and the Trinetra Ganesh temple inside the park.
Drive back to Jaipur, arriving by evening.

Are there fixed departure dates?

Is a tiger sighting guaranteed?

No. Ranthambore has a healthy tiger population and sightings are common, but wildlife can never be guaranteed. Two safaris improve your chances.

When is Ranthambore National Park closed?

The core zones close for the monsoon, usually from July to September. October to June is the safari season.

How early should I book safari permits?

As early as possible – permits are limited and sell out in winter and on holidays. Share your ID details when you book and we'll help with the booking.
