Overview

A peaceful two-day trip from Jaipur to two of Rajasthan's holiest towns. Offer a chadar at the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer, then cross Nag Pahar to Pushkar for the Brahma temple, the evening aarti on the ghats of the sacred lake and a sunrise from the Savitri Mata temple.

Day-wise Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Jaipur → Ajmer → Pushkar (about 150 km)

    7:00 am – Pickup in Jaipur and drive to Ajmer (about 135 km, 2–2.5 hrs).

    • Ajmer Sharif Dargah – ziyarat at the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
    • Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra and Ana Sagar Lake.
    • Drive over Nag Pahar to Pushkar (30 minutes) and check in.
    • Evening: aarti on the Pushkar Lake ghats and a walk through the market.

    Overnight in Pushkar.

  2. Day 2: Pushkar – Brahma Temple – Savitri temple – Jaipur
    • Early morning: Savitri Mata temple by ropeway or on foot for sunrise views.
    • Brahma Temple and the Rangji temple.
    • Breakfast and time for shopping.

    Drive back to Jaipur after lunch, arriving by evening.

Yes. Ajmer and Pushkar can be covered in one long day from Jaipur, but staying overnight lets you enjoy the evening aarti and sunrise in Pushkar.

Is Pushkar vegetarian?

Yes. Pushkar is a holy town; meat, eggs and alcohol are not served.
