Nahargarh Fort Trek

Overview

Jaipur's classic trek. Climb roughly 2 km up the old stone path from the walled-city side to Nahargarh Fort, with the Pink City opening up below you at every bend. At the top, explore the ramparts and the famous viewpoint, then sit down to hot Maggi and tea before walking back down. A trek leader keeps the group together and shows you the safe line on the steeper sections.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

1. Day 1: Old city path to Nahargarh and back

   Meet the trek leader at the base of the Nahargarh path on the old city side (exact meeting point shared on booking). Short warm-up and safety briefing, then a steady climb of about 2 km to the fort with photo stops. Time at the ramparts and viewpoint, Maggi, tea and light snacks, then an easy-paced walk back down to the start. Total time: about 3–4 hours.

Things to Carry

• Sports shoes or trekking shoes with good grip (no slippers)
• 1–2 litres of water per person
• Cap, sunglasses and sunscreen
• A light jacket for winter mornings; a raincoat in the monsoon
• A small backpack and a torch / phone light for early starts
• Government photo ID
