Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Jaisalmer – the Golden Fort
Pickup from Jaisalmer railway station, airport or bus stand and check in to your hotel.
- Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Qila): walk the lanes of one of the world's few living forts, with Jain temples and the royal palace.
- Patwon ki Haveli and Salim Singh ki Haveli: extraordinarily carved merchant mansions.
- Evening at leisure in the fort market.
Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 2: Kuldhara → Sam sand dunes – camel safari & desert camp
Morning at leisure; check out after lunch.
- Kuldhara: the abandoned Paliwal village and its legends.
- Sam sand dunes: sunset camel safari across the dunes (jeep safari optional).
- Desert camp: welcome drink, Kalbelia dance and folk music by the bonfire, followed by a Rajasthani dinner.
Overnight in a desert camp (Swiss tent).
Day 3: Desert sunrise – Gadisar Lake – departure
Watch the sunrise over the dunes, have breakfast at camp and drive back to Jaisalmer.
- Gadisar Lake: ghats, temples and an optional boat ride.
Drop at Jaisalmer railway station, airport or bus stand – or continue to Jodhpur.

Are there fixed departure dates?

No. Every package runs on your dates. Share your travel date, number of people and any preferences, and we plan around you.

Can I reach Jaisalmer from Jaipur?

Yes. Jaisalmer is about 560 km from Jaipur. Most travellers take the overnight train or break the drive in Jodhpur. We can add the transfer or combine this trip with our Jaipur–Jodhpur–Jaisalmer tour.

Is the desert camp comfortable?

Yes. Camps have Swiss tents with beds and attached bathrooms. We can suggest premium camps if you want more luxury.

When is the best time for a desert safari?

November to February is the most pleasant. Days are warm and nights are cold. Summers (April–June) are very hot.

Can I customise this itinerary?
